This page describes the cookies and similar technologies used on shrinkopedia.com, what they do, and how to change your choice. It's meant to be short and plain-spoken. Our broader privacy policy covers everything else.

The short version

We use two categories of storage: essential and analytics. Essential items make the site work and remember your cookie choice. Analytics is Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization, used only if you accept. We don't use advertising cookies, we don't sell data, and we don't build cross-site profiles.

Your choice

The first time you visit, we show a small banner asking whether to turn analytics on. You can accept, reject, or ignore it. If you reject or ignore it, no analytics cookies are set and Google Analytics receives no data from your visit. You can change your mind any time by clicking Cookie preferences here or in the footer.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat that as a reject automatically and don't show the banner.

Essential storage

These items are always used and can't be turned off. They don't identify you and aren't shared with anyone.

Analytics (only if you accept)

If you accept, we load Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-H3QSDSHGHS) with Google Consent Mode v2 and IP anonymization. GA4 uses first-party cookies to distinguish sessions and users at an aggregate level.

Google acts as our data processor for analytics. See Google's description of how it uses data from partner sites. You can also install Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on for a browser-level opt-out that works across every site using GA4.

What we don't use

Advertising cookies (Google Ads, Meta pixel, TikTok pixel, and so on): none.
Cross-site trackers and data brokers: none.
Chat widgets or session-replay tools that watch you scroll and click: none.
Fingerprinting: none.

Changing your choice

Click Cookie preferences at any time (also linked in the footer) to reopen the banner and choose again. Clearing your browser storage for shrinkopedia.com will also reset the choice, and the banner will appear again on your next visit.
