Hubs

Explore by topic.

Hubs gather everything Shrinkopedia knows about a single topic, the conditions, the symptoms, the treatments, and the glossary terms that connect them, into one place. Each hub is the clinical entry point for that category. Start with the topic closest to what brought you here.

Mental health doesn't divide neatly into separate categories. Anxiety overlaps depression. Depression overlaps trauma. Sleep is upstream of almost everything. Substance use is downstream of many. The categories are useful for clinical communication and treatment planning, but most people who arrive at Shrinkopedia are working with something that crosses more than one.

The hubs below are the clinical entry points for each major category. Each one collects the conditions, the symptoms, the treatments, and the glossary terms that travel with that category, plus how the topic is covered across the other sites in the Shrink Network. If you're new to a category, the hub is usually the right place to start. If you already know the specific entry you want, the alphabetical Conditions, Symptoms, Treatments, and Terms collections are still where they always were.

Hubs aren't the same as Network Clusters. Hubs are the clinical view of a single topic on Shrinkopedia. Clusters at /clusters/ are the cross-network view, the same topic covered from every angle across all seven sites in the network. Both are useful, in different ways.

How to use these hubs

Each hub is the clinical entry point for one category. Inside, you'll find the conditions that fall under that category (with one-line teases and links to the full entry), the symptoms that show up across those conditions, the treatments with evidence, and the glossary terms you'll encounter most often.

Below the four core sections of each hub, you'll see how the topic is covered across the other sites in the network: AnxietyResource for practical guidance, DepressionResource for the lived-experience layer of depression, PsychiatryRx for medication-specific guidance, AnxietyResearch for evidence summaries, shrinQ for pattern work, shrinkMD for care, and Shariq Refai's essays for the long-form reflective layer.

If you don't see a category that fits what you're looking for, the Conditions and Symptoms collections cover several more areas (personality disorders, dissociative disorders, somatic symptom disorders) that don't yet have dedicated hubs. Use the search or the alphabetical indexes for those.

More hubs are added as Shrinkopedia's coverage of each category matures. Send suggestions to [email protected].
